Translation:

Have you also marked those to whom it was said, "Withhold your hands (a while from war) and establish the Salat and pay the Zakat.? Now that they have been commanded to fight, some of them fear the people as they should fear Allah, or even more than that; they say, `Our Lord, why have You prescribed fighting for us? Why have You not given us further respite?" Say to them, "The pleasures of this worldly life are trifling and the life of the Hereafter is much better for a man who fears Allah, and you shall not be wronged in the least.

Translit: Alam tara ila allatheena qeela lahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata falamma kutiba AAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawna alnnasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashadda khashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalayna alqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalin qareebin qul mataAAu alddunya qaleelun waalakhiratu khayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoona fateelan

Translation:

On that Day the people will come straight to the call of the summoner; no one will dare show any haughtiness, and all the voices will be hushed before the Merciful and you will hear nothing but a whispering murmur.

Translit: Yawmaithin yattabiAAoona alddaAAiya la AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati alaswatu lilrrahmani fala tasmaAAu illa hamsan

We had forgotten that Allah extends the provisions for whom He wills of His servants and restricts it for whom He wills. If Allah had not been gracious to us, He would have sunk us also underground. Translation:

Indeed, this is the Truth! Such will be the disputes among the dwellers of Hell.

Translation:

O Prophet, We have sent many a Messenger before you. Of them there are some whose stories We have related to you, and of others We have not related.107 Yet it was not in the power of any Messenger to have himself brought a Sign,108 without Allah's leave. Then, when Allah's Command came, the judgment was passed with justice, and the wrongdoers then incurred loss.109

Translit: Walaqad arsalna rusulan min qablika minhum man qasasna AAalayka waminhum man lam naqsus AAalayka wama kana lirasoolin an yatiya biayatin illa biithni Allahi faitha jaa amru Allahi qudiya bialhaqqi wakhasira hunalika almubtiloona

But after having seen Our scourge, their belief could be of no avail to them, because the same has been the standing law of Allah to deal with His servants, in the past, and then the disbelievers only incurred loss.
